Youth who are substance abusers and convicted of a non-violont
criminal charge are offered two choices:
- Choice A: Incarceration or
out-of home placement without treatment…..
or
- Choice B: Drug Court / YTEC
Youth live at home
or in a group home and they commit to attending an intensive day treatment
program with curfews, regular drug testing, and weekly, then bi-weekly
appearences before judge. They access services including:
- The PCC High School / Vocational programs / Experessive Arts / Treatment /
Counseling / Case Management / Family Services
After earning 24
weeks of program compliance and six months drug-free, youth graduate
from Drug Court. They can then choose to leave YTEC and return to
their previous school or can stay involved in YTEC’s programs:
- The Principals' Center Collaborative
Youth can choose to stay until they graduate High School
- Leadership Fellows

to College / Career / Work
YTEC supports youths’ transition to college or employment
